Brittany and Ben’s Wedding in Phuket

A wedding in Phuket is the dream of many couples around the world. Beautiful beaches, luxury resorts, and warm Thai hospitality make it one of the most popular destinations for beach weddings. Many people compare Phuket with Bali, but Phuket is often chosen because it is easy to travel to and has stunning locations for photography.

For Brittany and Ben, traveling from the other side of the world to get married in Thailand in August 2019 was the perfect choice. After checking many resorts, they decided on JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach, a private beachside hotel perfect for their wedding in Phuket.

Located on Tri Trang Beach, only 3 km from Patong and 16 km from Phuket Town, this resort offers a peaceful and private atmosphere. The beach is quiet and hidden, making it an ideal place for intimate wedding ceremonies and wedding photography in Phuket.

With three large swimming pools, tropical gardens, and beautiful sunsets, the hotel is designed for couples who want luxury and privacy on their special day.

One day before the wedding, my photography and video team met Brittany and Ben. We reviewed the wedding schedule, checked the rooms for the bride and groom to get ready, and joined the rehearsal ceremony at 4 PM.

The goal was clear – to make sure everything ran smoothly with zero mistakes. We also guided Brittany and Ben on how to walk, stand, and pose naturally to get the most beautiful wedding photos in Phuket.

After rehearsal, the families enjoyed a welcome dinner at a Thai restaurant near the hotel. Only 15 close family members and friends joined, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. My team captured the laughter, the joy, and the delicious Thai food that made everyone feel at home.

At noon, we began shooting in the bride’s room. From shoes, rings, and the wedding dress to fun moments with bridesmaids singing and dancing, every detail was recorded in photos and video.
At 3 PM, the groom and his friends started getting ready. The atmosphere was full of jokes, laughter, and excitement. Meanwhile, another part of our team captured the wedding decorations being set up on the beach, despite a short rain shower. Thanks to the professional Marriott staff, the venue was ready on time.

4 PM, the ceremony began with 120 guests clapping as Ben and his friends entered. Brittany followed with her bridesmaids, smiling and full of joy. The ceremony included heartfelt vows, a first kiss, and a cheerful exit as guests threw flower petals.

After group photos with family and friends, the rain came—but only after the most important shots were taken. Instead of stopping the fun, Brittany and Ben enjoyed playful beach photos in the rain, creating unforgettable memories.

By 8 PM, guests entered the ballroom for the wedding dinner. With 12 tables, speeches, cake cutting, and the first dance, the night was filled with emotions and celebration. After the formal part, everyone joined the dance floor, enjoying music and laughter until midnight.
